Brian, a 3rd generation caterer, met Tipperary woman Ann Marie over the hot counter in UCD many moons ago.

After years spent working in Dublin and Kildare, the pair (with rose tinted glasses on), decide to open their own business – a small shop in the Tipperary village of Holycross being the destination.

Dreams came true… all lived happily ever after… NOT!

The recession hit and, with all hands on deck, Brian and Ann Marie made the decision to trade their way through the hard times. They started to bake.

So began The Tipperary Kitchen. What followed was a journey through the Thurles & Templemore farmers markets before getting “a start” in a local retail shop.

From such unplanned beginnings, our bakery has grown and we are now selling our Holycross Chocolate Biscuit Cake and Marvellous Meringue line in Supervalu and fine food shops throughout Ireland.

At The Tipperary Kitchen we pride ourselves on using local, fresh ingredients and continue to make each product by hand, in small batches so you can be sure you’re getting a consistently delicious dessert at every purchase.
